British GT championship

Watched some of it last night on motors tv, crikey has'nt that series gone down hill! shame, as it used to be GT1 and GT2 cars now its just mostly ginetta's in like a 15 car field

Think the FIA GT is still going strong. That's on next weeekend at Silverstone. Good grid of Porsche's, Aston Martin, Lambo's, Ferraris.............etc. Might possibly be going myself.

Credit crunch. Was disappointed to see the F1 Porsche Supercup's field has been halved, just 14 cars on the grid yesterday in bahrain!

One of the reasons i haven't got tickets for the British grand prix this year. I wasn't expecting the formula one grid to have the likes of Honda (now Brawn) or even STR.

Was thinking of seeing these when they come to Scotland, do they have support races etc?
Agree that it did look in a sorry state with so few cars but good racing at times.

British F3 supports. Not sure what else is on though.

Isn't the Bahrain round of that for the Asia Pacific Porsche Cup though? Or is it actually part of the normal championship? I thought it got underway when they reached the european rounds, hence why there might be a bigger grid for them at Barcelona.

BGT has always been up and down, it's just a rich boys willy waving championship. When people are making money it's up, when things are tight it's massively down.

I did a couple of seasons running cars and it's just always like that.

SRO are rubbish...poor organisation and poor police over cars. Thats just the teams!!! Spectator wise its only 5 people due to the fact the prices are more than BTCC. Oh, the 5 people would have got in free anyway being family members of a driver. I was lucky to work in BGT 2007...Did 6 out of 8 rounds!!! And now my team has moved in a different direction thus Sprint racing is the way forward.
