A1GP brands bank holiday

I'm going to see A1GP for the first time having avoided in the past as I've always been a bit suspiscious of the format. However, looks like the cars will be loud and fast and I always love watching racing on the GP circuit. Anyone else have experience of watching? Do I have a treat in store?

It's a great weekend - I've been to Brands every year for this.But the cars no longer have the Zytec engines which sounded fantastic (very loud and amazing on the overrun).
Engines and Chassis are now produced by Ferrari and I saw an article last week that said that the 'noise element' has been lost... a real shame.
But I'll still be there Saturday and Sunday - it's worth it just for the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge series
I've been to Brands for all the A1GP's and it's a good crack. The nights in the Kentagon Bar are always fun with plenty of mechanics and hangers on milling about.
The good thing with Brands is the ability to photograph close up. Inside of Druids is always good and looking up to Paddock Hill can be impressive.
This year I'm staying closer to home and going to Silverstone for the FIA GT's.

Yeah seen it before. It was good when Britain had a good driver, but I have seen the Aaron Steele is getting a drive. I hope the crowd likes an underdog rank outsider!
Only as the Rookie driver. He will drive in the first practice session, but not the rest of practice, qualifying, or races.

Need a favour from one of you guys if possible.
I was asked at the GT Cup event last week to try and get a side on shot of every car that was entered in the Silverstone round of the series. I managed 35 out of 36 as the Ferrari 355 did not run in the morning session.
These photos were then forwarded to a PR company that is responsible for putting together a 'spotters guide' for inclusion in the forthcoming programme for the A1 GP event (2nd and 3rd May) at Brands Hatch where GT Cup is part of the race card.
The favour I need is for one of you that is attending this event to purchase a copy of this programme and then send it up to me so I can add it to my portfolio. I have asked the PR company to send me a copy, but just in case they don't I want to make sure I can get one. I am more than happy to pay the cover price of the programme and also cover the postage.
I am not going to be at Brands because I am at Rockingham and Silverstone all weekend.

This is always a fantastic event, the noise of the cars in the past has been immense, really really loud! The atmosphere is good as well, I was amazed that the country v county thing does actually work!
The support is looking good, full grids of GT Cup and Lotus Elise along with a good showing from Heritage GT's I'd imagine. All of these guys are usually happy to talk to people in the support paddock so a good meeting to take kids to I'd imagine.
