Brawn sponsorship - what a waste!
Discussion
All that blank space on the Brawns - such a waste.
If Branson doesn't offer enough for title sponsorship of Brawn why not donate some of the space to some worthy charities - the charities would get massive and unexpected coverage and it would act as a great advertisement for what other commercial entities could expect and hopefully open the doors for future possibilities for Brawn.
And if the current Virgin logo is overshadowed by a lot of free adverts, maybe they'd decide to pay the market rates for more emphasis....lol!

Absolutely. Make 'em like the old days. National racing colours, none of this sponsorship crap.
That would be one way to reduce costs in F1 dramatically. If you don't have it, you can't spend it!
If the TV money is supposed to be worth $40M per year per team, and they're talking about a $30M budget cap, there is space in F1 for three maybe four more teams, all funded by the TV money, all within the $30M.
Imagine the amount of British Racing Green machines in the field...

The problem Brawn has is that outside of F1, the general public has no idea who or what they are. As a sponsor, this is a big issue. They are not a car manufacturer, they are not a soft drinks company, they are only involved in F1... when did you last see a Brawn car in a newpaper, magazine or on TV other than on a Sunday or Monday morning?
Sponsorship is about exposure... you would rather be seen in 3rd place (on a Toyota, McLaren, etc.) than NOT be seen in 1st place.

I disagree.Sponsorship is about exposure... you would rather be seen in 3rd place (on a Toyota, McLaren, etc.) than NOT be seen in 1st place.
I dont think it makes any odds on the manufacturer. Torro Rosso? Jordan? Williams?
If youre first in an F1 race, you will get exposure regardless. Maybe theres more hype around Ferrari and McLaren but thats not borne of their road cars.

Fantastic idea, the best one I have seen in ages, I would expect nothing less from a former Nova racer well done. That would be one way to reduce costs in F1 dramatically. If you don't have it, you can't spend it!

I don't like the way the current Brawn cars look... who the hell chose white and bright yellow??! At the very least they could've done something whacky - stripy/dotty/leopard print/dazzle camouflage? Having said that the actual shape of the car is quite nice compared to others.
Quite looking forward to them being red with a massive Virgin logo on them (will this happen?)...

I like the Brawn look, very Hesketh.
Absolutely! I love the clean look, with no logos on their overalls etc etc. Really refreshing
Green trousers!!!
green shorts!!
I am just flabbergasted that they have won 3 out of 4 races and the sponsors are still 'umming and ahhing' over the deal.
Have they never heard the expressions 'strike while the iron is hot' or 'make hay while the sun shine' who knows what next season will bring, another complete change around probably.
There are two cars out there winning 3/4 of the races being covered more than anyone for TV and they are a blank canvass. Jesus Titty f

Does the Russian boy got any money left from his daddy? Methinks the cars would look smashing in purple with silver TVR logos...
