I was wondering exactly that earlier whilst watching the race. I don't know the answer though.

There was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago, I don't think it ever has.

The safety car looks like its going pretty quick, but when you look at the F1 car behind it, they look like they are standing still...!

Unless it's wet in which case you laugh at how the F1 cars can't keep up

There's more than one safety car & driver(s) aren't there so the 2nd one would get on track soon enough?
