Just read on BBC 1 web site that The Spanker is refusing to budge on the 40 million cap next year and has told all the nine teams of FOTA to go and have their own championship.

Therefore with now 9 new teams submitting entries and Williams too, The Spank has his 10 teams and will now start the process of killing F1 as we know it!

This guy is a total prick!

F1 is dead, long live FOTA.

crazy! I didn't think even he would be that blunt, going to be an intersting few weeks as to what happens now.

I wonder if the only other big card FOTA can play is 2009 race-refusal, in the same way as the US GP over the tyres?

The F1 Teams' Association (Fota) - representing Ferrari, McLaren, Toyota, Renault, BMW Sauber, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Brawn GP and Force India - wants to reduce its costs over the next three years.



Id watch those teams race in a separate series over whats left. Each running 3 cars, couple of other teams joining over the next couple of seasons. Think mosely could have just shot himself in the foot. Idiot.

Until the teams have the guts to actually walk away, anything they say will be empty words. Call his bluff I say, then we'll see how much Spanky needs them and he'll give in.

If the teams don't like the rules then sod off and join a formula you do like. There's no budget cap in Formula 3! Or Hot Hatch!
