Quicker Slower or the Same.
Discussion
I was at the Sepang F1 track yesterday and having watched the Turkey Practice I was thinking if time around Sepang would be significantly different if you went anti clockwise, (there were pictures in Bike magazine a few years ago of the Kawasaki 636 launch at Sepang with the bike going anti clockwise through 14).
Has anyone seen times for running a ‘clockwise’ circuit the wrong way?
So to start a discussion, I reckon my time in my Sylva would be slower if I went anti clockwise, as
• The hill between 14 and 11 is longer than that between 9 and 11, and anti it would be uphill for longer, (OK not as steep) but I reckon speed through turn 12 and 13 would be seriously slower anti clockwise.
• Braking into 9 would be down hill and on the turn of 10 so further out
• Braking point into 4 would be a lot further out as it would be down hill
• Braking into 2 would again be down-hill and on a left hand bend.
I can’t think of any where that would be seriously faster going Anti.
