V2 Sport helmet. Any good?

I like mine, light and well made fits me nicely.
When you look at the stitching closely you cane tell it's not a Shoei etc but Great value for money as it passes all the latest requirements (Snell 2005)
I'd buy another if I was in the market for a new lid (though I hope I'm not...)

I'll need to find a helmet that complies with one of the MSA standards if I want to race in any National B events...and my current lid (used on track days) is a Shoei Raid II, which hasn't got any of the required stickers.

One question comes to mind about the V2s - they don't have HANS posts fitted as standard. Is that something that can be retro-fitted or requested at the time of ordering?

a lot of budget helmets dont have hans posts fitted. Expect to pay another 50-150 for them to be fitted. the rules have changed now so that the manufacturer has to fit these.. in the past the distributor could if the helmet was already drilled.

Am I right in thinking the Shoeis are just Motorcycle helmets? I had one for a while for arrive and drive karting but then bought a Bell Motorsport helmet (not particularly expensive one) and it was at least half the weight. I now need to replace it as the padding just doesn't seem to fit around my head correctly anymore. It's had quite a hard life of mainly outdoor karting. I'm amazed at the price of these V2s. Compared to a Bell RS3 it'll be a third of the price. The only advantage I can see in the Bell is that there's a better range of visor's to go with it (although they cost quite a bit each as it is).

Yep, they do not carry the necessary sticker(s) required by the MSA regulations...so won't pass scrutineering.
