Totty Update

Saw C.Totty's car on the trailer on the M25 today, must have been on it's way to Brands hatch, 95% sure it was hers, as I know she is racing at Brands this weekend, good to see it back racing. I hope it goes well for her.

Would be good if it was, as I remember her saying at cadwell she thought that was her season over.

I have spoken to her via FB, and she said she was hopping to have the car finished for the race this weekend at Brands. hence thinking it was her. be good to have her back, esp with the times she put in at Cadwell on Qualy.

True, but it could have happened in her other series or any other series. (very similar thing happened to the TVR GT racer in the Britcar series (I think it was Britcar)). Plus that's one of the worst crashes that I know of in our series, well in the current format, so very unlikely to happen again to the same person. but its the risk we all take, I know I could not afford to re-build my car again, so if it was badly broken, I would have to quit. hence still deciding to best use of my limited funds.

I dont see why not, it wasnt a malicious move by someone, a start line accident like that is a pure lottery. As a general rule there isn't much car on car contact in our series..

She is def on the provisional entrants list for the 70's road sports. I am there tomorrow but her race is on Sunday. I will keep an eye out for her car and her in the paddock.

I still feel guilty about removing and bypassing her oil cooler to get her out after qually

Really glad she has got the car back together relatively quickly.

You may well be right Graham, you're certainly better positioned to make the statment than I am.

I know there is less contact in our series than the likes of the BTCC...but I would have thought running in HSCC Roadsports there would be less contact again and that was the basis for my statement.

I may well be wrong though - it's certainly not unusual for that to be the case.

Like I suggested in yesterday's post I hope she does come out in the series again. Another M series car in the class on a regular basis would be good.
