Ok, it's being reported that Massa will probably be out for the season and whilst I along with everyone else would love to see him back in the car asap who would take his seat.
Nikki Lauder has described Marc Gene and Luca Badoer as useless (fair enough
) and is suggesting Michael Schumacher (Schumi vs Hamilton in what seemed today to be competitive with each other......).
Bruno Senna?
Alonso? (But Renault have made some improvements and contract problems?)
Wurz? (Wasn't he looking for a drive?)
Someone else um er Davidson, Coulthard, Rossi, Loeb, Villeneuve or some else even less likely (Just a random selection of drivers, there aren't that many drivers about with the experience for F1).

(Just a random selection of drivers, there aren't that many drivers about with the experience for F1).Luca. Otherwise whats the point of having an official reserve driver? It'd be pretty rude to offer the ride to someone like couthard over him, unless it was someone special ie schumaacher or Rossi. Rossi's too tied up in a hectic motoGP season, schumi never wanted a teamate who wouldn't flatter him. Ferraris "options for the future" ie alonso will be contractually tied.
Gene hasn't raced an F1 car since 2004 and has only had 3 races in F1 since finishing with Minardi in 2000 so the chances of him being on the pace straight off are very slim indeed. Likewise Luca is in his late 30s and hasn't raced an F1 car for almost 10 years so isn't going to be great really.
It's a difficult one really, there's no obvious candidate so depending on how long Massa is likely to be out for I'd go for Gene for a short stint or someone out of GP2 if it's going to be all season, while being careful not to pick someone who will then sign for a rival team next year.
