bernie should never have let it go in the first place, but good to see it back - having been to almost all the GP's at some point over the last few years, Montreal is pretty much top of the list.

Maybe Indy won't have em back after the debacle there last time.

Indy is a truly awful track. The Paddock club is horrible, and its just a very boring place overall. I went to the inaugural GP and was very disappointed. Montreal is a complete blast and a wonderful city for a party.

Result, montreal always has a bit of action. Good to see it back, hope they can get another N america race but not at Indy, Laguna would be amazing or somewhere like watkins glen or road america.

Lacking genuine knowledge, as usual, my guess is that Bernie's comment was more related to the fact that the guy with whom he did the Indy deals, Tony George, in effect got sacked recently.

Yes and no. It was quite tedious sometimes but others it was good. The 2005 race was a disaster, bet the organisers go all basil fawlty don't mention the war on that one.
What I'd love to see is the Detroit street race back on the calendar, that was pretty good. And Long Beach too. Or perhaps F1 at Laguna Seca?

Laguna Seca would be sooo boring. Fun to watch them down the corkscrew a couple times but then very tedious as it would be as hard as the Hungaroring to pass with it being so twisty. Road America would be the best choice with some long straights and fast corners

Anyway, I hope Mr. Tremblay and Mr. Ecclestone can come to an agreement, I passed on a opportunity to see the last GP in Montreal and feared it had passed me by, everyone loves it so it shouldn't be too hard to make it happen. As soon as it's confirmed I'll be making plans.

They know how to do it in Montreal, I can only imagine what it's like over the GP weekend.

Montreal is a great circuit! Bad for overtaking though, except for the last straight. Why did it get removed anyway? Was it related to the massive crash kubica had last year? or was it the year before? Anyway good to see that the track will be used again. I miss adelaide in australia too

Montreal was always one of the best races on the calendar with great crowds too.

Road America is a much more exciting track though...
