Doubtfull. Honda/Brawn benefited from massive investment in the "next year" car, some considerable generosity of honda in the sale, and some dubious FIA ruling regarding the legality of the diffuser.

Right now BMW will be spending precisely squat on next years car, they seem to think the team is worth more $$$$ than potential buyers are willing to pay, and the FIA are keen to shaft them given they're already talking to other parties about the vacant grid position meaning whatever BMW come up with they aren't evan guaranteed a place on the grid.

It also depends if they're going to ditch the current engine and fit a Merc unit in it instead, I suppose?

Doubtful. Let's not forget that they gave up on the 2nd half of 2008 to concentrate on development of the 2009 car. With a great deal less money and no new design blood it's hard to imagine them suddenly coming good.
