Driving Experience advice

Hi All,

For a friends 30th we're looking to buy him a driving experience day.

Essentially I'm looking for advice on where to go and what vehicle to choose. I've been fortunate to attend a few but never actually paid for them, I've found that once I'm in the car driving at some silly speed around the track I completely forgot what car I was in. So far I like the idea of a single seater but we're looking for the best bang per buck so to speak.

Any advice?

Caterham autocourse was fun; really fun.

if not bothered about the cost palmersport days are top notch, full day, food and drink and drive all sorts of very interesting kit, porsche, le mans type prototypes, caterhams etc etc.

Been twice and a mate went recently he;s still raving about it.

I've heard mixed things regarding value for money, so choose wisely. Palmersport days sound great though

If you fancy something a bit different google GwynneSpeed. There are two kinds of driving experience. You're either there to drive a certain car like a Lambo, Evo, Atom etc or you're there to get pushed to your limits. Having done one of each I enjoyed driving an Evo, but I loved being shouted at to drive faster and faster. Plus with some car experiences you don't really get the chance to stretch the legs of something like a Ferrari etc.

As an aside the Palmersport days give you both bits of this, you get to drive the serious kit and encouraged to oush it right to your limits. They have prizes for each car type for timed laps and overall winner.

Nothing else comes close for value and adrenalin.

Get to drive 7 cars as hard as you can - and still have instructors yelling FASTER !!!! DONT BRAKE !!

Cheap just doesnt work for these days Im afraid.

Palmersport is around £700 ish now I think.

Around £100 for approx 20 track minutes in each of the 7 cars.
