Just thought I'd fill you guys in on the Phillip Island 500 that was run today. This is the lead up race to the Bathurst 1000 (Pronounced baff not bath by the way)
The last lap was very controversial with Lowndes seemingly pulling over to let Tander past. Next year 888 are changing from Ford to Holden and the two teams (Directed by Roland Dane and Tom Walkinshaw) will be in a partnership.

This being Interesting as Leanne Tander in the race winning Garth Tander's wife in her first main game V8 drive. She is a race winner (I think) in Formula ford and maybe a 2nd tier V8 catagory.

Thanks for the heads up. Is it likely Lowndes actually let Tander past as he seemed to fight it for a couple of corners and when he did eventually lose the spot he still continued to drop back?
That McConville crash was madness, that was only a couple of feet away from being one of the worst crashes ever. Surely they need a tyre barrier inbetween the two sections of track to prevent that happening again?

For the past ten years Motors TV has been the exclusive broadcaster of the V8 Supercar Championship in Europe and the channel has, since 2001, brought LIVE coverage of the Bathurst race. This year we bring live action from the beginning of the race at 10pm on Saturday 10 October right through to the end of the race. Coverage will also include the warm up and the supporting Porsche Carrera Cup and V8 Utes races. A fantastic weekend of motorsport to savour on the ‘High Speed Television’ channel.
