Prodrive built 3 Aston V8 rally cars before the N24 came on line... which swiftly killed that off although I think you should still be able to option your N24 with the rally pack? Anyway they are a great laugh to drive and be in! What a car to bomb down a stage in! Fantastic noise.
Prodrive won't have any employees left to run another team, they've retrenched 2/3rds of their staff and with the way we've been treated I doubt many (if any) of us would go back!
What you've also got to consider is that along with no staff what have Prodrive done in the WRC in the last 5 years? A few wins? What's left is history a skeleton of it's former self with only memories of the gloy days with Colin, Richard, Petter, Tommi, etc! They've done nothing too their current structure to prove that they are capable of winning again in their current state... Only old management are left from the good 'ol days.
Would you give them a £30 odd million pound budget to go rallying based on memories of golden years, and to a man obsessing about F1 glory?

Got to chat to DR on both occasions as well as have a nose around his Aston - seemed like a really nice bloke.

Yes the facility's are there still. Just not the staff and as I've mentioned with the way most people have been treated and the tight 'experienced' community that is motorsport in the UK and Europe there aren't many people that would give up their current positions to go to Prodrive.I went to a few open days at Prodrive a couple of years back and was very impressed with the setup they had.
