Yep, I heard that and thought what the f
k? I'm largely apathetic about Bernie and Max ruining F1. The cries of the fans go unheard so why bother. The only glimmer of hope was when the manufacturers looked like they might actually break away.
I hope that once the Max/Bernie era draws to a close that someone takes over, who actually has an interest in and isn't willing to sacrifice the soul of the sport for a few extra quid he doesn't even need.

Well the BBC are wrong. Look on the Autosport website.
Bahrain first, then Aus. Brazil to finish. Canada somewhere in the middle of the season. All provisional dates are there.

Cries of which fans though?

The only glimmer of hope was when the manufacturers looked like they might actually break away. You obviously consider the South Korean fans as less important than the European ones. If the race is a sell-out, will you still suggest that fans aren't being listened to?
Oh and then there's the supposedly amazing British Grand Prix that can never seemingly stump up either the cash or the facilities to stay on the calendar.

Just wait until India holds a Grand Prix in 2011 with a large percentage of the population not being able to watch it as they cant afford a TV never mind pay 6 months wages to watch it live.
Its a joke. Bernie is joke and i wish that Ferrari,Mclaren,Williams etc,etc had the balls to form a breakaway.

Because, of course, South Korea have a large number of F1 fans compared to Europe, don't they?
The grandstands will be empty. Just like at many of the new circuits.

Slightly off topic but didn't the European used to move each year, Imola etc? How come we're stuck with Valencia for eternity now?
Back when I wore Clarks shoes to school. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Grand_Prix
This should tell you all you need to know.
F1 today is controlled by the sale of TV Rights and Government backed races, i.e. the Middle East, Turkey, China, Malayasia and Singapore. The fans are a huge problem for Bernie, he gets no revenue from ticket sales and has no interest in full or empty grandstands. China is a good example of an empty circuit which is Bernie's dream.
Remember CVC Partners borrowed heavily to buy F1 and need to pay back a serious amount of money each year in interest alone, with new races in any country which will pay. I expect in five years time to see two races in Brazil, one in Nigeria, one in southern Russia and few if any races in Europe....I kid you not!

Is anyone really suprised about South Korea holding a Grand Prix?. Hell if you have enough money you can have a grand prix where you live. Scottish Grand Prix if you like with tartan run off areas just throw enough money at Bernie.
Spot On. It has nothing to do with fans or if the country has an interest in F1. Its purely financial and countries like India,China,Bahrain and Abu Dhabi use them for self-promotional purposes only.Wanta996Gotta said:

At the end of the day it's about fans.
Perhaps the fact it's not European fans is what upsets people the most.
