Spa & F1... (and everthing else at the moment!!)

Noise & motor racing... I believe (though not confirmed entirely) that a two year ruling on 'Formula 1' noise has been effected with an immediate ban on all racing! Plus, looks like a ban on F1 attending Spa... until 2026!!!

(don't flame me for getting it wrong, but I 'think' that is what has happened)

I am supposed to be there in a weeks time, but I believe there is (supposedly) a 6hr race this weekend... with drivers 'en route'...

If anyone knows the real story I would be grateful of clarification as I am holding off booking several ferries!

Im Supposed to be there next week for a Trackday as well, ferries and hotels booked!

If they loose the F1 and right to race then any hotel, restuarant, garage, fuel station within a 30 mile radius will be out of business within a year!

There really isnt anything in the area apart from the circuit and my god its the best track in europe!!

Well the Caterham Superlights, Funcup and Belgian Touring Cars can safely say they were the last people to race on the legendary Spa Francorchamps circuit

fking NIMBYs again - the circuit has been there since 1922, doesn't take a genius to figure out that if you buy a house near a race circuit then you are going to get noise. If it bothers you, don't buy a fking house near it !

I cannot believe that these small minded cretins continue to be allowed to cause so much grief because THEY decided to move to a renowned area of 'Petrolhead Interest'.

If you dont like the smell of st you dont move next to a pig farm do you, but I bet they can't legally force all the pigs to wear fragranced nappies.

Interferring cts have no place to complain when it was clearly their own choice to be in that vacinity.

They are yummy indeed - but they are a british invented thing and dont exist in Belgium.

(They do however have a fine selection of Coffee Koekjes here which they tend to eat as breakfast - but thats a very very small thing in a whole sea of stty reasons to dislike everything Belgian )
