Who Will Be McLaren's Number 2?

With all this will he won't he with Alonso --> Ferrari, I decided we need a thread debating who will partner Lewis? My vote would be Timo Glock, Lewis and McLaren owe him after last year. Plus he's German, which will please Mercedes

Owe him what from last year? It will be Kimi. If you are talking about him being on the wrong tyres and not being able to control his car in Brazil then i dont know what thats got to do with Mclaren.

Would Ferrari owe Vettel anything for overtaking Lewis in the final laps?

There have been reports that Toyota have an option on Glock for next year, so it's unclear whether he would be available.
Wrt Glock, Rosberg and Sutil, I would think that the pressure is no longer on McLaren to have a German driver. That is, no doubt Mercedes would like them to have a German driver, but seeing as they have declared their intention to make their own team that will compete directly agaisnt McLaren, one would think that McLaren are no longer deeply concerned about satisfying M-B's wishes in the two years before they walk.

Oh, and in response to the actual thread I reckon Kimi's a good bet for Mclaren if he stays in F1 following an unceremonious punt from Fezzer at the hands of a whinging fat head spaniard.

I think there will be no No. 1 status in the team if Raikonen goes to Mc.Laren.

Here we go, another person without a clue - forgetting that Glock took a risk by not changing tyres. Had he changed tyres and stopped like everyone else he would never have been ahead of Lewis. He didn't do Mclaren any favours, in fact he did the exact opposite!

Assuming Ferrari are so keen to replace Kimi with Alonso that they are prepared to pay millions of dollars to do so, then Kimi will surely want to do one of two things:

1) Walk away from F1 with lots of money to spend on ice creams, yachts etc.
2) Stay in F1 and beat Alonso. To do so, he will most probably need to be in a McLaren.

My money is on the ice cream and yachts, but I'd like to see him at Mclaren.

Kimi will go to Sauber-Ferrari, Rosberg to Brawn, Barri to Williams and Sutil will stay put, leaving Kovi at McL because he doesn't make waves.
