I dont think the Porsche driver should have done what he did and pushed the Vette to the wall.

Vette shouldn't have bumped the Porsche. The Vette driver was heading for the wall so could have braked to avoid it

Yep, they should both be penalised for that, was just rubbish driving... The Vette started it though...

The 'Vette shouldn't have bumped the porsche in the first place. But the Porsche needs points on his licence. Disgusting behaviour.

Bump could have been due to the Porsche slowing more than usual on purpose, but probably was avoidable. Porsche should leave room if the Vette is already alongside, you can't defend by driving people off the track

Porsche well out of order there I'm afraid.

The Vette was clearly stronger on the brakes and to me, it looked like the Porsche brake tested him in the last corner (at least, slowing more than was necessary). Then, outrageous driving to stick him in the wall.

JB wasn't brake testing, but slowing more than required to get the sling shot out of the bend is fine. Jan knew exactly what he was doing when he bumped JB - that was a BTCC-style shove.

JB was a bit naughty, but he'd just had a hit up the rear and was in no mood to be trifled with. He also remembers what Melo did to him at Sebring in 2007:

You reap what you sew. You can't expect to ram someone into the last corner and not expect retaliation. If you can't pass fairly, then don't do it at all.

So for 2010 the two drivers will know exactly where they stand with each other and Jan will know that he can't bump Jorg out of the way in a corner.

I'm playing devil's advocate a bit because I know it was a pretty poor bit of driving, but after Melo did the same to him and received no penalty at all (after Jorg had passed him 100% cleanly) I don't think he should be punished for a tit far tat move. Jan was only alongside because he'd shoved the Porsche wide, after all.

I know what you mean, but Melo was at least over-lapping when they made contact, whereas Jan came from several car lengths back.

That looks a little saucy to me.
It's one thing holding your line and carrying the other car towards the wall but they were side by side all the way from the exit of the bend and that looked much more like a bump n squeeze.

Near 50/50 but I think the Porsche was bit OTT on that one.

Pretty irresponsible of the Porsche driver, but he got a tap and took the inside line early and the Vette still went for that side. He stuck himself there and took the risk.
