I thought to myself "it's way too early to put this up", but then I thought, "sod it, as I'm going to be there!!"

As far as new the circuits go, this one is rumoured to be pretty good with slow, twisty corners, followed by long straights to promote overtaking. Coupled with the stands alledgedly being almost on top of the track due to the run-off areas going under them.

Personally, I can't wait & am rooting for a Brawn 1, 2 with Button taking the flag to prove to his doubters that he is a real racer.

As Brundle said on Sunday: if Lewis gives it the beans too early (again) on the way out there he'll rattle down that tunnel!

But seriously - from the glimpse of it in the coverage at the weekend - off line dust looks bad, so overtaking could 'interesting'......

Got a 3 day pass, with seats in the North Grandstand.

Staying in Holiday Inn Al Barsha, in Dubai, for 7 nights, so we're leaving on Sunday night!
(We stayed in Dubai on our way back from our honeymoon 2 years ago, and both said we'd like to go back)

My Brother in Law bought me a ticket for my 35th

I'll be staying at their house in Dubai for a long weekend & going to Quali & the race. Not quite ure where we're sitting yet - checking back to the mail from my sister, all she said in the mail is "a good chicane"

Have your sister or brother-in-law got any recommendations on how to get to the circuit from Dubai? Seems there may be buses running, but they won't be announced until nearer the time. We had originally thought taxi, but seems they may be overpriced that weekend (surprise surprise!) and are only allowed as far as the park and rides.

Bearing in mind we're going on all 4 days, and staying for the gigs in the evenings, I wonder if we'd be better renting a car?

(The 9 lane highway puts me off a bit!)

Apparently, we are taking his car each day. It's only about a 40 min drive from Dubai. TBH, for 4 days, I would hire a car & drive it - my sister drives over there every day - she's rubbish & not pranged their Patrol yet!!!!

If I were Bernie, I would make the result...

1. Button.
2. Barrichello.
3. Hamilton.

This season has gone on too long for us not to have had two British drivers on the podium! A Brawn one-two would be a suitable end to the season, with Barrichello clinching second in the Championship. However, my real predictions are:

1. Vettel.
2. Hamilton.
3. Raikkonen.

The most exciting part of the track is the pit exit. They should make it a compulsory 20 stop race. I can't see much action elsewhere on that track.
