Could it happen? Norbert Haug said to expect a suprise with their driver signings. I think he's out of his Ferrari deal this year, he started his racing with Mercedes Junior programme and would be a dream team with Ross Brawn again, why not?

Good call, I was well impressed when he kicked some ass in the DTM in an old spec car. He's no slouch in an F1 car judging by his limited test performances in the Mclaren. Bring it on yes

Never say never, and I wouldn't bet against it happening.....but not the most probable scenario I would think.

Can't see it ever happening.

Sure he doesn't need the money but wants the excitement yet with Ferrari he has a job for life and can almost write his own job spec.

Very true - but dropping the number 1 off your car and running with Rosberg and Heidfeld is hardly exciting stuff, is it?

What? Do you think the great Schumi likes telling WAGS how to open the vanity mirror on the F458 at its launch or hanging around the pits like a Groupie?? I think Michael would jump at the chance of representing a German Team if he was fit enough. It would be a great story.

I think Rosberg and Di Resta is a perfect line up for Brawn - makes sense all round to me

Why not start a better rumour, maybe Stirling Moss to Merc GP? He had a bit of success in the Mercs you know..

Surely he would love to jump back into an f1 car instead of having an advisory role and putting his name against the new WAGS favourite - The California

"We agreed that I will give my input more and more into the GT department, the area of the road cars. I have already enjoyed a lot participating in the development of the Ferrari California, the 430 Scuderia and the new 458 Italia, which we will present next Tuesday at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and so I very much look forward to participating in future projects."

Yes maybe, but as the news is recent the contract negotiation a would also have been recent so if Merc had approached him, or if he was keen to join team Deutchland and had approached Merc, would he have renewed any contract let alone a three year deal?

All contracts can be broken but always at a cost.

As someone has already posted 'never say never' but IMO the chances are slim to zero.
