Spa Francorchamps has been issued a new operating license.

The popular and historic Belgian Grand Prix venue had its original license revoked recently by an administrative court, following the complaints of local residents about noise.

But according to rtbf.be, a new license was signed in earlier this week by Philippe Henry, the planning minister of the Wallonia government.

The new operating license is reportedly valid until March 2011.

Well thats good news, hope they get to keep it permanantly

Folks, unless you are American, the word is LICENCE.

I know it sounds pedantic but I have posted this little message on PH many times. I am trying to keep the English spelling of English alive here on PH. We'll be spelling "colour" "color" next.

It would have been a great shame and a great loss to the F1 calendar to have scrubbed Spa from the list.

Lets also hope that the circuit are free to carry on with their numerous trackdays, race days, open events, corporate events etc!

If you havent been - get yourself there! Eau Rouge is worth the trip alone!

but, it should never have been taken away in the first place.

fancy moving next door a racing circuit and then complaining about the noise !
that's similar to moving next to Heathrow, and asking the planes not to take off
