The man is either genius or barking!
Im swaying towards the thought of him being mad! Im not to sure that his one liners are so witty, but simpleton! He shows great signs of alzheimers - Dithers, puzzled, lost, forgets! We need him substituting with immediacy, the sport is in vast jeopardy under his control.........

Within 6 months of arriving in a nursing home, he would have 'organised' the residents and negotiated them a percentage of the home's profits, signed an exclusive deal for BHS to supply slippers to all the residents, and sold the TV rights to some equally senile nutter in CVC for £60M

Let’s examine the evidence.
First, the case for “genius”
A man born of working class stock and poor education dragged himself up through graft to become a millionaire at 20. Possessed of the vision and drive to turn an expensive amateur motor racing series into a global phenomenon and single-handed created thousands of jobs in the process, bringing a bit of excitement and enjoyment into the homes of millions worldwide. To do so, he risked his entire fortune, on his own, yet reaped just half of the rewards.
The case for “barking”
Appears to rest on the man’s presentation skills. I have over the years, met and known several uber-wealthy individuals and all display similar traits: guarded responses to questions, the appearance of forgetfulness and – if I may be so bold – portraying the traits of being a bit thick. This, whether by design or default, lulls others into a false sense of security, which all too easily bites you back – big time!
They say that the line between genius and madness is very thin but one really has to take a lead from those that have met, dealt and know the man and the consensus seems to err towards genius.
One also has to remember that these days, his teeth have been blunted and holds a lot less power than he once did, effectively acting as little more than a consultant for CVC. Given the level of investment and risk they have made, I think it reasonable that if they ever felt he was bonkers, he’d be long gone.

"A cut throat genius" like him or loath him, he's one of the most successful businessmen around but of course you could ask. At what expense?
He's a guy that clearly likes what he does and his passionate about it. I kind of like the guy but then again, i don't have to do business with him !
