Beware.
2.8 and 2.9 flywheels are different.

OP, post on here, you'll get the right one and make sure to say what your starter and box is.

The reason I know that they are different is that once upon a time i fitted an MT75 2.9 4x4 5 speed to an XR 4x4 2.8. Everything fits and bolts up as it should but after assembly you will find that you have the wrong clutch travel and are unable to get gears. The 2.9 flywheel from memory is thicker.

its a long time since I did the mod though and it may be that using a matching clutch fork, pressure plate etc will make it all work. i would be very wary though.

You need the correct teeth to mate with your starter as well.

From memory everything was interchangable, I ended up grinding some sump aluminium web away on the drive shaft bearing support to get it to fit where it fouled slightly but it wan't until it was all built and boxed up did I find that I only had half clutch travel.

It was all a very long time ago though.

Is it a 2.8 or 2.9 you need.
Not ideal but I have a complete 2.8 car, if it came to it, and you was very desperate and you was able you could always take it out.

Not the same Leigh, that's off the earlier 3000cc Essex engine.
