Same name, different team. I don't get why people are excited about "the return" of Lotus. It's not the same. It's more relevant to compare Mercedes with Tyrell.

As for what I'm looking forward to, it's racing that is not interrupted by pit stops for fuel. I'll pass on the battles because it's too early to say as we don't know the relative competitiveness of the teams but Button vs Hamilton will be interesting for a few races until we find Button wiping the floor with him smile

What I am not looking forward is Schumacher, his crooked smile, his arrogant, scripted interviews and his on-track shenanigans.

This is the most hyped up season I can remember, I just hope the racing lives up to it.

Pit Lane Film crew Vs Bordem.

Anyone want to play the Antony Hamilton drinking game?
Since Schu will be back on the track (when he's not barging people off it with his Mclaren) and the Pussycat Doll has gone back west Antony's the only "human" interest left? Or will we have lots of shots of Massa's Dad looking worried when his son gets punted off by Schu?

They do still change tyres though, correct? so i would imagine the whole pit-stop phase and tactics around that will not be totally out of the window, as even though pits' for tyres will be down to around 4 seconds, you still have pit-lane speed limit and the distance to cover. To be honest i think i will miss the fuel stops, i rather enjoyed the old 'o will he make it out before man behind hits corner 1'.

I agree with the Lotus thing, it is only Lotus in name, almost nothing similar to original Lotus...

Kobayashi fvcked this lot over:

So sorting out some nancy-boy F1 drivers should be a piece of p!ss.

[kobayashi]You see, you stole entertainment from Mr Ecclestone. That you did not know you stole from him is......irrelevant. Mr Ecclestone does not take kindly to theft, and now he believes you owe him a debt. F1 is not a sport, gentlemen. It generates........revenue. For Mr Ecclestone. Mr Hamilton! It takes years of dedication and money to win a WDC, yet you have the temerity to win at your 2nd attempt. This created excitement, not ever expected. Mr Button! My dear mr button. So many years in so many poor cars. Resolute, you were, and somewhat unexpected as a WDC. Much cash was expended in gambling parlours by my employer, in the expectation that a RED car would clear up. Which leads me to baby. Baby Felipe. Yes, you. You suffered at the hands of an errant spring, spouted forth from your countryman's car. This was not your fault, which is why I hand the final envelope to Rubinho. You are old. Yet you know not how old you are with your strategy, your cunning, and your sheer fvcking speed. Mr Ecclestone is frustrated with you. With all of you. Within these envelopes, you will find photographs. Photographs of your entertainment-theft against Kaiser E. What we ask is simple. Easy. We have an old German agent, who will race amongst you this year. See it fit that the old German wins, and consider your debt repaid.[/kobayashi]

All of which may be fairly irrelevant if Messrs Newey & Vettel pick up where they left off (as long as Reggie's engines are made of slightly more metal than cheese this year hehe)

Do you mean who will have the number one car? That'll be Button since he won the WC last year. I think they will be treated as equals though, no preferance to either driver. I hope thats the way it is anyway.

I meant 1st driver etc. But yeah, Mclaren will try and treat them equally i would of thought.

As mentioned above, they have no official number one driver. Anyone who believes that, probably thinks that Mosley always had the sport's best intentions at heart... rolleyes
