Taking a bog-stock R26.R out in VLN practice.
Discussion

I got permission to run with the boggo road car, only half-a-cage and toyo 888s packages installed. We had two hours of free practice, taking some very lucky passengers out for laps.
VLN is the national-level endurance series here in Germany, with factory-backed entries from VW, Porsche, BMW and Audi amongst others. You run on a special configuration, which uses the national GP track (short) linked to the 21km Nordschleife.
Yes, everybody else is on slicks and we're just on 888s... it was a cold day though.

Thanks guys, I'm actually an instructor here and I was hoping to partner a very good customer in his car this year. Not sure if that's happening now. I don't have the money to do anything like this myself, and the VLN series really is a paying gig these days - only a couple of high profile 'talent-seeking' teams and they all look for under-25s and German... pah!
Spec of the other cars is dependent on class, some stuff is really tight, some is really open. As an example the 325 we overtake will be very tightly regulated as it's probably in the 'stock' class (no engine work bar intake/exhaust), but the S2000 we overtake is hard-topped and in the SP class as quite modified. Some of the Seat Cupras are lightning quick - we're talking over 350bhp at the wheels for a 4 or 6 hour race!
