I'd have thought so, given he hardly covered himself in glory last year. The main problem is that RAC have backed out so WSR need to fill the hole in the budget they have left if they want to sign another top line driver, Colin Turkington has several offers on the table but needs sponsorship to make them happen and may well not be in BTCC at all next year.He won races last year and had several podiums. WSR were very happy with Jelley and theres a very good chance he'll be in one of their cars if he can come up with the budget. They have 3 BMW's so could accomodate Neate, Turkington and Jelley if all three had the budgets. It's money thats the key with the loss of RAC as title sponsors.

Not sure I agree with you, yes he won 2 races (both at Rockingham) and scored 3 other podiums (all at Croft), but he finished 7th in a championship winning car and if Tom Chilton can get an underpowered Focus on the podium twice I'd expect a driver who is being paid to drive should be able to put a 320Si run by a top team on the podium more than 5 times in a 30 race season. Given the choice of Jelley, Mat Jackson, Colin Turkington and even guys like Paul O'Neill I know where my money would go if I was team manager.I'm fairly sure Colin will be off to WTCC in 2010 but even then I don't think Jelley will be in a WSR run car come Easter Sunday at Thruxton.

Having said that my sources were a little while ago and suggested that Andrew Jordan had a decent chance of taking that seat so things may have changed by then.

Sorry, my sources linked Andrew to WSR before his Vectra appeared on the scene, and Paul O'Neill was just an example of someone I'd rate above Andrew Jordan based on last year's performance rather than any reasoned speculation , Andrew is in a Vectra this season run by his fathers team. Paul O'Neil is back at Sunshine.co.uk so also a definite no for WSR.
