as above, Lewis and father are to part ways in a business sense, i wonder who will be replacing him. It says in the interview that Anthony is busy with other business interests, does he manage other young drivers or something?
I wonder how LH will get on without his old man for the first time, although he was always looked after well at McLaren, you have to think it put him at great ease to have his dad their looking out for his interests...

that is what i was wondering ye, i am sure we had something on here about a young drivers program he was doing or something, wonder what formula it is in...

Anthony Hamilton is running a young drivers programme where he hires year old F1 cars from the current teams and basically provides the car & tracks for up & coming drivers to test modern day F1 machinery.
It got the go ahead from Bernie despite fears from teams that the tests would be used to overcome the testing bans.
I forget the figure I heard, but £25k per day seems to ring a bell.

Sky Andrews? I would very suprised with that. No clue about F1 and the only Footballer of note that he has managed and is known for is Sol Campbell. Also represents that big movie star Martine McCutheon.

Sky's actually a mate of mine and I know Anthony but it was Sky that turned it down because, as you said no F1 knowledge.

Basically they look after the business affairs of the client. Appointments, finance (via accountants), legal (via lawyers), sponsorships, public relations, etc.

Driver management within McLaren is a 'mickey mouse' job. Whoever 'gets' the job, presumably a sports lawyer more than an agent will end up towing the line from Martin W and Ron D. It will be a bag carrying position, organising jets, working with team and travel re hotels, tests, helmets, public or sponsor appearnces and thats it.

McLaren will NOT let drivers have more than one or two personal endorsements and the contract is with the team and no middle men! It works, and Mclaren will not change their business model.

Trust me ten years ago I was doing a similar job and it is not much fun.

Yea i thought so too, also thought you had to test the coke and hookers first which i thought would be a good thing
