Watching the F1 outside the UK
Discussion
You can normally find streams on www.justin.tv - but they may or may not be in English. Or you should be able to find a free web proxy that will make it look like you are in the UK, then watch it on the bbc site.
I too am in Asia (Japan) and I tried a couple of UK proxy servers, but both gave me around 100kbits/second, far too slow to stream from iPlayer.
I'm on the verge of using FilmOn, where you can stream pretty much any TV channel in the world, but I'd prefer to find a fast enough proxy. Being able to use iPlayer is a huge plus.

This is what I did in Russia and it worked out ok.
I use https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/ in Ukraine. seems fine as long as your ISP download speed is okay.
Before that did try Justin, but got fed up with the feeds dropping out or getting blocked.
If your band width isn't up to streaming TV, local TV can be okay, especially if backed up with live timings, PH and something like the Autosport feed!

Easy question!!

is all you need. Sign up to the iPhone version, which I think works the same as your device. If you have a wifi connection, you can watch live British telly, including BBC1, with a 20 second delay. It is crystal clear, and pretty breathtaking. I have watched Match of the Day on the pub only recently this way. Incredible. It's the best iPhone app there is.

Where in Asia are you? I live in Bangkok and it's possible to pick up the South African channels S1-3. It's usually played in English on there. I really wish i could find a site where I could also watch the hour at the beginning before the race if anyone has any ideas?
You can also stream from sopcast.com but it can be a bit hit and miss.
I've also just found this site http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html and it is letting me watch BBC news. The tvcatchup site looks impressive but it only works in the Uk, so will try it through a proxy server from this site and keep you posted.
Right well I think I've solved your and my problems now, I scrolled through the proxy on that link above until I found one for the Uk, right now I'm using lazyfoo.co.uk from the list. It has let me sign up for free to tvcatchup.com, where the site is slick indeed.

I use identitycloaker as a paid for proxy service...Never had a problem using iPlayer/ITV/Channel4 and 5 plus live streaming also works well...Bit chunky in price - but they have about 50 UK proxy servers to select from...
