I note that the F1 drivers are to continue their protest in Australia about Bernie banning their Physios from the grid - the protest to continue as being unavailable on the grid just before the race, therefore making Martin Brundles walkabout totally superfluous.

What goes on in Bernies mind to think that Rory Bremner, Naomi Campbell et al need to be on the grid on one hand, and then bh there are too many hangers on cluttering it up ..... is he losing the plot more and more?

Speaking of which, it really annoye dme when they showed the photo of the living F1 champs at Bahrain...with Michelle Yeoh in the front roe, in the middle.

You can just about justify the FIA presidents presence amongst those photos if you try hard enough. But his girlfriend???

Can't say I've ever seen an F1 driver doing push-ups on the grid, so why are the physio's there?

Almost every sportsman or woman warms up before competition and I imagine the high g force/muscle requirements mean it is no different in F1. With every aspect so highly controlled in F1 the physio will guide them through their preparations.

Do they have someone to wipe their arses for them too?

Don't you think the physio is one of the few who SHOULD be on the grid to help the drivers? These guys have strong relationships with thier physio's and often have a pre race routine that includes talking to them etc. If there must be less people on the grid surely start with all the crap random non-racing related celebs and royalty.

Just about every professional athlete has access to physios during their competitive events. Obviously, a physio can't ride with a driver during a Grand Prix race, but surely they should be on the grid.

I agree with the other posters about getting rid of the celebs and "royalty" (LOL!) from the starting grid.

(I know you said during the race but it's a great Kimi moment and deserves to be shown again)
