.....So now all that's out of the way, lets move on to the next one:

The Australian GP, Melbourne, March 26-28th

The cars and drivers have all had a proper race length shakedown now and the teams have 2 weeks to get things straight for the next race.

Whose looking good for Oz, considering the differences in the track and climate?

I personally thought Schuey did ok considering he was a little rusty and in a new machine.... As he gets back into the groove i wouldn't be suprised if he starts to impress. Its weird that most of my attention was on him all weekend, wanting him to impress and justify his comeback.

What are peoples thoughts for the race? type

Vettel should be quick again *although* technical problems seem to be hampering him for the most part, as in testing and the race. I'm expecting a small improvement from our lads (especially Jenson) and possibly for Schumacher to creep closer to the podium once again!

The big question is, will Hormone Replacement Therapy reach the finish line?

Webbo should do well he's normally good for an extra 3 tenths a lap at his home GP. i think the new no refuelling format sucks tho. it's ruined my weekend tho the bowls club will be closed or useless all weekend!

There is no similar sector 2 area that slowed down the Mclarens. Lewis won there in 2008 and the sector times(1&3) plus suprisingly race pace shows that there is no blatant Brawn like advantage. Yes the Redbulls and Fearri have an advantage but i would reckon the Mclarens and Merc/Brawns will be allot quicker around that track.

Am i the only one that wants the new guy Karun Chandhok to do well?

Everytime he was interviewed i couldn't help but think he was a really decent chap! Hope the car stays in one piece in Oz.

Best of luck to the guy. thumbup

Me too (and my wifey) - we were talking about him just last night. His twitter is great - totally down to earth and normal.

yes Looking purely at the new guys, I was stoked for Hispania getting even a little track time. Both Karun and Bruno seems genuinely stoked to be there. A real strong effort by the team.

Gotta also say Lotus did amazingly well. Gascoyne seems to be a real asset to the team. Hope both teams do well at Australia

it's great to see lotus back in F1, I remember when they left F1 it was a terrible moment for the sport. I hope they have some real success

New, small, enthusiastic teams are very cute. But wait until they become successful and get all "corporate" like Brawn GP did when Mercedes took over. wink

It was good to see Karun acknowledged that he would effectively be a mobile chicane during Q1 and tried to stay out of the way in the last few minutes of the session whilst the quicker lads got on with qualifying. Hats of to the man, given the circumstances I think he did well to run at all.

Alonso
Hamilton
Webber

Massa/Vet disputing 4th, maybe 3rd, but as somebody else has said Webber is good for a bit more pace and effort at his home GP. Given that he has taken over Herberts role as F1 Mr Unlucky though, I reserve the right to sub in Massa or Vet as 3rd.

Ill go leftfield here and put Sutil in the top 6, probably 6th but the guy has a decent car in the FI and he is a racer, so if he gets a sniff of a top 6 place I think he will give as good a battle as he gets.

All writing off schuey then?
How long before his pace is up to the front runners, seems to have a good car, he'll get the setup better next race me thinks.

The other drivers will get sharper as he does. Not writing him off but you cant deny that he has been slower than an average Rosberg all weekend. He also had just as much testing time as everyone else. Massa is the one that has impressed everyone coming back from his accident and putting in some solid quick times in practice,Qualifying and the race. If he beats Rosberg then we can at least start to blame the car.

Think your wrong there, other drivers are 'race fit' they haven't had 3 years off.
