GT Cup Thruxton

[TVRSH]

Just returned from Thruxton where Danny Winstanley and John Wilson (Cerbera) were competing. Danny was 4th after qual and finished second after overtaking a Porsche 997 on entry to Club chicane for third place after 11 laps and took second due to major off by Ferrari 430 in second place on lap 12 also at Club. John retired after 3 laps with suspected blown cylinder head gasket.
Didn't stay for race 2 due to delay from Ferrari off, but Danny as usual drove a fine race to finish impressively on his first outing at Thruxton and 2 places better than Silversone!

No race 2 as the Ferrari driver was hurt.
Not sure how bad...but that usually means bad.

Silverstone race was on motors TV(413) over the weekend, think it's on again at 17.30 today.

Great to see a late 80s designed TVR mixing it at the front against new Fezza's and Porkers.
