Between Hamilton and Button. Both leave the pits, but one gets overtaken and one doesn't.........

To me they were very similar chances for both drivers, so does the "killer instinct" show?

difference is, jenson was delayed due to the pit crew losing his wheel nut, lewis wasnt delayed. i think jens could have possibly made a run at fred had he not being stuck behind herr swerver.

He also had no dash functionality for the entire race, so did the race with no shift lights and no way to change the car setup with the wheel activated knobs and buttons, plus had a dragging clutch, so not a bad effort really.

Hamilton's killer instinct also extends to his tyres too unfortunately wink

I do agree that in a straight fight Hamilton would have the edge. Button has gone up in my estimations hugely last year and even more this year though. Was a bit lackluster today though. He should have dispatched Schumi.

fk me that was a boring race though. Glad I recorded it and started watching halfway through so I could hit the fast forward button.

yes, watch the onboard footage, you can see he has no display and no shift lights. He also said that during the post race interview, quite late on in the interview too, so wasnt playing on it, just stating facts.

Lewis also had the 'lost nut' thing too?

Yes he did, but the team were prepared for it better when Lewis came in and had the spare gun ready, so he lost less time.

Apparently the gun-man was quicker off the mark when it happened to Hamilton than Button, according to Kravitz.

They were prepaired so he didn't lose as much time.

The move by Schumacher was superb, JB was never going to get passed him. Schumacher was hard and fair.

Hamilton was good, it was actually the fact that he kept that killer instinct in check that stopped him collecting a Red Bull at the first corner

IIRC.. Button was 6.7 and Lewis 6.1? Yes 0.6 is quite alot of time in F1, but is that the difference between getting ahead of Schumi?

But what was the total time in the pits, not just the stationary tyre change time?

They don't have 'Pit time', but Lane time is there.

So how was it 4 seconds difference but only 0.6 at the pit?

Well, even Brundle was making comments along the lines that Button needs to "do a Hamilton" up the inside of Schumi............. So at least I'm not alone in my thoughts.
