Lots of speculation at the moment about HRT hoping to get hold of the Toyotas for next year and about how woeful the Dallara design is of this years car. However, last race they seemed to be getting their act together and despite no development all season have not fallen any further behind Virgin and Lotus who claim to be making improvements.
So just how bad is the Dallara and how disorganised were the team at the start of the season when they were thrown together a few weeks beforehand? If the team were better organised themselves then maybe they'd have got more out of the car in Bahrain and it would be a different story now. One things for sure (sorry), the car seems to be reasonably reliable so it can't be that badly engineered!
Are there any details about what exactly is so bad about the design/engineering? All I've heard so far is about how terrible it is but no substance what so ever. Could it just be a convenient excuse for getting out of a contract that the team can't afford?

No development plan in place for the season, no new parts planned from Dallara. What HRT got at the beginning of the year is what they are going to be using till the end of the season if they do not produce newly developed improved parts themselves.
But as I understand it, that's because HRT don't want to/can't afford to continue paying Dallara. The original intention was for Dallara to be developing the car during the season - at a price.Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
