A mate of mine was just enthusing about his trip to the Indy 500. "Like Glastonbury on Speed", he said. Which got me wondering what everyone's list is of races they want to go to before they die?
My approximate list follows and should be longer, so I await responses.

Le Mans (done)
Bathurst 1000
Daytona 24
Nurburgring 24
Sebring 12 Hours
Targa Tasmania
Mille Miglia
Le Mans Classic
Spa 1000km
Monaco GP
Belgian GP
Italian GP
Pike's Peak

I feel like there should be some rallies on there too, but I suspect they're a pain in the arse to follow when you're actually there.

I think you have to goto Laguna Seca, just for the cork screw.

You're almost definitely right. But which race?

I'd love to have seen the Safari rally and the Paris-Dakar, both incredible events.

VSCC Cadwell, or VSCC Oulton. Unlike most on the list, there really is nothing quite like it. And you do get a better class at the VS.

The ALMS 6 Hour race is one I would like to see there.

Indy 500 and the Daytona 500 are on my list. Would also like to go to Bonneville Speed week.

There are a few on your list I'd like to see, but Sebring is the other endurance race I'd like to see, and Pikes Peak for the sheer bonkersness of it.

British Superbikes at Cadwell. I've seen a lot of motorsport at a lot of tracks, but my experience of those lunatics last year was unforgettable.

Yep. I would add VSCC Shelsley Walsh too. Such a unique experience and atmosphere.

BTCC Donnington and Brands?

Surely one (or both) of the Goodwood meets should be on there?

I reckon a Top Fuel (or whatever they're called) at santa pod should be on there too

I'm looking forward to Saturday.

I went to MotoGP Mugello for the first time this year. I'll definitely go again.

Daytona 24 Hours is a mega event to go to and there are some companies now offering trips to it from the UK. Would definately recommend it to anyone who likes sportscar racing.
