Spa Accomodation

Planning on going to the Belgium GP this year, will be likely staying in a hotel (the misses doesn't dig camping!) and was thinking there must be a wealth of knowledge amongst you guys to point me in the direction of a good value hotel reasonably close to the circuit?

I've been on the circuit website that links to a few hotels but still unsure - need some PH validation!

I was a spa monday and tuesday of this week doing a trackday.

we used the Radisson blu in the town center and had no complaints, its around a 5-10 minute drive from the circuit http://www.radissonblu.com/palacehotel-spa

I have no idea what they charge over the GP weekend but expect most places put their prices up.

Sorry, a bit late for the reply, don't know what you want, if you are looking for just a bed/shower (clean/comfortable) with kitchen facilities if you can resist (or not afford) the lovely restaurants in Spa centre, you could try googling "residence le compte artois/restaurant le belle epoque".
Denise is the ladies name, her English is passable and her prices a bit more affordable than the Radisson. You can easily find brekkie in Spa in a little coffee shop, with time to make the easy drive to Francorchamps centre for the race/practice sessions, where you can park in someones garden for a few € followed by a leisurely walk (depending where you are watching from ) to your seat. Stayed there for a decade or so now, highly recommended, better to eat in one of the fine resto's in town than in some hotel IMHO.

How about a Motorhome fo the w/e, if you don't fancy camping? PM me if you want to look at hire possibilities as my neighbour runs a business renting out motorhomes.

If you want super-cheap and cheerful, you could try this place. I used it on a trip to Spa, it's about 50km (35-40mins) from the circuit. Very basic, but clean, friendly, easy parking etc.

It was very nice. Plenty of parking, north of Spa. Large, clean rooms. Some of the rooms are alongside the indoor Tennis dome which is a bit odd but you do get much more space than a conventional hotel. Might be a bit quieter than the centre of town. The Radisson is expensive anyway, so I imagine even more so on GP weekend.

Alternatively, I know some people who found a Caravan site at a reasonable price.

You could give the Beau Site a try, they own a few houses nearby which have communal kitchens and en suite bedroooms, you go to the hotel for brekkie. http://www.hotelbeausite.be/ This is where we stayed last weekend

If your up for a laugh, don't mind dirt and want really cheap accommodation there's always http://www.domainedechodes.be/site/

we stayed there a couple of years ago, approximately 500 bungalows, the weekend we stayed we were the only people there,

I imagine the park itself was quite popular until air travel took off and hasn't really been maintained since visitor numbers dropped, I'm sure 1/2 the bungalows are actually hidden in the nettles.

You can take a walk up passed the empty swimming pool to the closed office, bar and restaurant or just explore the burnt out or falling down bungalows.

It's a bit like being on the set of a horror movie, I laughed but was very pleased we only stayed two nights.
