Bloody hell, those marshall's were lucky! Glad everyone's ok.

Why is the GP circuit not as well fenced as the Indy part of it?

Seems to happen in kind of slow motion, doesn't it? It rols for a hell of a long time for a car going end to end. Glad no-one was badly injured.

not a spectator area or anywhere a car might go off like that......those running marshalls should not have been there as the marshal post itself was clearly fenced off.. that guy in the cap was very lucky.

not a spectator area or anywhere a car might go off like that......those running marshalls should have stayed put. that guy in the cap was very lucky.
Clearly spectators there though? Guess it's just one of those freak situations where you never think a car is going to go off there until a car goes off there.

Was certainly a spectator area last time I was at brands as I stood in the same spot. I remember thinking at the time that it was unusual for there not to be catch fencing there. I'm sure there will be catch fencing next time I go...

Always amazes me how much energy there is when you see a crash like this - some people should be buying lottery tickets at the moment.

Reminded me of Kelvin Burt's Porsche flip at Thruxton. What seemed to be an inconsequential tap sent the car tumbling. Does go to show how finely things are balanced at speed.

Was just about to post this after seeing it on twitter. Ye gods it was a close one! Spare set of underpants for a few people required there methinks!

Was the driver ok?

I guess Brands will fit fencing around that section now? I hope they do its never nice to see a car go over the barriers.

This shouldn't turn into a crash compilation thread, but this one stood out for me.

That must have really hurt - the energy was instantly changed to 'Up'! http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=Z3CeStLvstM&fe...
