Alonso to do a Hamilton?
Discussion
Thing is Hamilton scored all those points 'without' 'Kovi' slugs helps. I can't say the same thing about Alonso. If Alonso helped Hamilton in there last race together as team mates, Hamilton would be Double world Champion right now. IMO Hamilton already is a double world champ because BMW cheated.

But Hamilton can hardly point the finger at anyone else for cheating, can he?Moobs said:

Massa is a quicker driver than Kovalainen, though.Heikki would rarely have been of any help to Hamilton even if he tried.

In fairness, going into the last race of '07, Alonso was only 4 points behind Hamilton in WDC and had a legitimate shot at the title. It would not have been right to expect him to defer to Hamilton, although that is what would have happened at Ferrari. If anything, and I say this not as an Alonso supporter, Alonso "deserved" the WDC that year. The only reason that he finished 1 point behind KR was that Mosley unilaterally took 5 grid positions from him at Hungary. Alonso finished 4th at Hungary, behind KR and Heidfeld.
Alonso had qualified fastest, .010 ahead of Hamilton, 0.6 ahead of Heidfeld, 0.75 ahead of KR, and 1.00 ahead of Rosberg.
The worst that could have happened (from Alonso's perspective) was that Hamilton's final lap, which Alonso had prevented, might have gained him pole and Alonso would have started 2nd. If he had gone on to finish 2nd (Hamilton having led from flag to flag), he would have won the title by 2 points.
