Well, it's only a week gap between Germany and Hungary.

Here are the BBC's timings

Fri 30th July

FP1 09:00
FP2 13:00

Sat 31st July
FP3 10:00
Q. 13:00

Sun 1st Aug
GP. 13:00 coverage from 12.05

Massa returns to the scene of his accident and should be fired up after the German GP.

This was the race, last year, where McLaren turned their season around. Can they do it again?

Are the Red Bulls still the fastest car on the grid?

My prediction.

Pole : Webber

Race : Massa

I'll see what I'm eating later in the week.

Enjoy. smile

(MGJohn, what are the odds on a Massa victory?)

The only predicition I'll make is that if the two Ferraris are close together on the grid, they'll both be out by the first corner.

I'll go for RBR, Ferrari on front two rows, rain after 20minutes then Massa getting the jitters and parking it in the tyres, p*ss-poor stratergy from Mclaren leave them at the back with Lewis fighting his way back heroically to middling points finish and Jenson 11th. Rosberg to outgun Schuey in Quali and Race but neither scoring much. One of the Lotus's to finish in the top ten due to weather and mechanical retirements from various others... Kubica on the podium somehow? Webber to win with fixed engine after oil issue, "The Finger" to balls up his start and trail home fourth.

Oh and something will upset Alonso and he'll spend the whole race whinging on the radio and then stomping off to moan at the stewards afterwards, he'll probably be 2nd though but have a face like thunder.

Since i'm likely to be out this weekend, does anyone know how to get rid of the "update your Adobe Flash" message off the live broadcast screen on the BBC website.
Whenever i go on, on my iPhone, there's a bleeding white message box right across the live leaderboard and the top half of the text frown

Kovi will drive into the crowd in qualli to get out of Webber's way as he is on a flying lap but will amazingly make it into the top 10 on the grid. As the cars have to start the race in the configuration they finished qualli, Kovi will start with two teenage Ferrari clad fans sitting on his front wing, and 80metres of safety fencing trailing from the rear wing.

The pre-race preamble will feature a mud wrestling session between EJ and D(RB)C over rule 39.1. DC will wear Red Bull underpants for this, whereas Eddie will wear yellow pants with purple shoes. Jake will actually use his Macbook rather than just posing with it. Martin will push in front of all foreign reporters on his grid walk, triggering WW3, the outset being an immediate invasion of Austria to find out if the Red Bull front wing is a little bit too bendy.

I think that the GP will set off with the two Red Bulls out in front, and they will stay there after the pit stops.

At 2/3 race distance, Fred radios in that it is "unfair and ridiculous" and that Ferrari should bribe/threaten Red Bull to let him past.

This will happen and Massa will say that it was "his decision alone" to protect Ferrari in the subsequent inquest. Ferrari will be handed a 50p fine by the stewards, and a bonus of double points for their radio costs and pain and suffering to Fred to settle an impending prosecution by Claims Direct out of court.

Lewis will finish ahead of Jenson again, leading to JB watching a lot of Wacky Races and Vettel's starts in preparation for the next GP.

Schuey will be shown a clean pair of heels by all these F1 schoolkids, and will start to seriously consider his age, retire and await an entry from the SAGA/Zimmer F1 team to come up some time in the future, with Barri as a very understanding number 2.

Nobody will mention what a crap circuit it is and will marvel at the myriad passing opportunities that arise in the race.

And I will still think that this has been one of the best seasons for a while (whilst watching the GP at double speed on Sky+ and only reverting to normal speed to hear the pure pantomime of Fred's radio communications whilst uncontrollably laughing and spitting goulash into my keyboard).

What?? Stupid, Me? It could happen you know...

It will be too wet to qualify normally, so each team will start in Championship order, though the drivers will decide which order they start for the team using Paper, Scissor, Stone. Massa is contractually obliged to only use paper, whereas Alonso is allowed to use scissors but not stone.

In the event the race day is too wet the positions will be decided by a Kerplunk competition. Massa is obliged to take 10 straws out at once and Alonso is allowed to skip his go.
