.
cool be good to see you out with us again darren.we pulled out motor out today, and so far the signs are looking hopeful.. nothing nasty came outof the sump and cam and heads look mint..
Little while yet I'm afraid! Just picked it up from the paint shop last weekend. It's now bright shocking yellow! Just got to start putting it together properly now. Still not got the engine built for it though and having a few cash flow problems largely due to the Chim at the moment! Think the beginning of next season is a realistic target at the moment, though I would like to get it testing this year if poss!
Hi Nick,
I hear you are fitting a flappy gear paddle system to the race car, like the road fezzas have.
I think the FGP system would suit the S6 engined cars and I'm thinking of fitting it to the Sag, you will have to let us know how you get on with it, the cost and how easy it is to fit.

Hi mate, no problem drop me a PM if you want to ask anything about the system but yes I will be running one. Currently have just the actuators and some wiring, but its pretty easy to fit, though you may need to move some chassis tubes to fit the box + actuator as clearance is tight, and you'll have to come up with a mounting system for the throttle blipper. Its reasonably pricey (around £3.5k all in IIRC). Should be well suited to the TVR engine though, and it has some neat functions so you can't over-rev the engine for example.I hear you are fitting a flappy gear paddle system to the race car, like the road fezzas have.

From what I've seen so far though, it looks like a fantastic bit of kit, and is capable of shift times down towards 30ms!!!

I suspect it will be a while before I get mine up and running, but if you haven't done it already, you're welcome to have a go with mine to see what you think. The shift time depends entirely on the revvyness of the engine though, so you'll want a light flywheel etc to get the best out of it.

sorry guys you lost me at hello!!getting back on topic, looks like its shaping up to be a good size grid, which is needed at the rock as its a vast track, don't know about anyone else but a little apprehensive
about the first bend after a rolling start!
