periods A to C, have headlights in normal working
order with glasses of minimum 182.5 sq cm each
unless SRs permit their removal.
Single Seater Racing Car
(a) Unless period defined, the construction of the
vehicle must be symmetrical, i.e. when the vehicle is
lifted laterally and weighed without the Driver, the half
weight on either side must be equal to half the overall
weight ±5%.
(b) It must be possible to enter or leave the Driver’s
seat without it being necessary to remove or detach
any part of the vehicle, other than the steering wheel
or seat belts/harness.
(c) The Driver, sitting in the driving position, must face
forward.
A-C are pre 1931 built vehicles.

Warning Light
5.1. A rearward facing red warning light of a minimum
of 21 watts, with surface area minimum 20cm2,
maximum 40cm2, or of 21 watts with a surface area
minimum of 50cm2 and with lens and reflector to EU
Standards, must be located within 10cm of the centre
line of the vehicle and be clearly visible from the rear.
Vehicles fitted with full width bodywork may
alternatively use two lights equally located about the
vehicle centre line. An alternative light unit of equal or
enhanced constant luminosity or LED lights that are
either homologated by the FIA or comply with relevant
EU Regulations may be used.
5.2. The warning light must be switched on when
visibility conditions are reduced, or as detailed within
championship and/or event regulations, or when so
instructed by the Clerk of the Course.

I read this so if it's a circuit (off road event) they're not then required. Headlights of the prescribed type are not required if the series regs permit removal? Whaddya think?

Think you can add Deano's too. Not sure about Hugh's or Jamie's.The TC regs do stipulate that lights must be fitted and working. A scrutineer could, quite legitimately, fail your car for not having front lights. Aside from the potential safety benefits of having marker lights in poor visibility (particulary if you have one of the quicker cars), it would be a daft thing to fail scrutineering for, given how easy it is to comply with the regs
i can't put lights in the normal holes on the s body as that's where i am now getting my air!! also the lower holes are for venting the brakes so its rectangular spots in the indicator holes, found some last time but struggling now apart from some very chavvy ice blue specials but hey they will probably suit my driving style lateley!!

Yep. Indicators front and rear. Headlights with low and full beam, with a flasher button on the steering wheel, side lights, brake lights, rain lights, Israelites, Fanny by the gas lights(sorry, couldn't resist the 'Lock Stock' reference)
Have never been asked to demonstrate working indicators though
