Anyone going this weekend? I'm toying with going down on the Sunday.
Any experience of the MSV hospitality packages on offer? http://web1.motorsportvision.co.uk/calendar/2010/s... Might go for the Trackside Lounge package (pregnant wife you see

)Yes. MSVR do a nice job with the DTM - certainly get far better crowds than they did at Donington. It is the return of racing to Donington this weekend as well so Saturday at the Masters event then down to Brands for DTM on Sunday - what a weekend. I can undertand hospitality for a pregnant wife but if the weather's good, sitting on the grass on the South Bank is really very pleasant as well.
Support races this year are excellent. F3 Euro Series will be the poorist races of the weekend, but UK FF and VW's will be excellent. DTM may be watchable but I doubt it will be that entertaining, never is.
By the way surtees has a big fence in front of it now so I wouldn't recommend it anymore sadly.
Should be a fairly good meeting though

Good things come in small packages - I wish more championships would think like the DTM & not think being on the longest track layout makes them better.
Brands especially, the Indy circuit is much better from a spectators perspective (although the lotus 1000km may be pushing it a bit far lol)

I'm missing this as it clashes with BTCC so I'm going to be at Knockhill instead unfortunately. I've never seen DTM in the flesh and have to do it some time, maybe a trip to Hockenheim or 'the Ring' is in order if it clashes again next year.
I've always thought the Norisring might be fun for a foreign round. The spectacle of the cars in isolation is brilliant, but the racing hasn't always matched expectations - a bit like F3, the drivers rarely make mistakes and the cars are quite aero-dependent. The Italian Superstars championship, on the other hand, is a riot...

Any way to watch this on TV? I gather it's on ESPN but I don't have a subscription to that channel. Highlights on Eurosport at some point?
EDIT: never mind, got my answer from the other thread

Jesus H Christ on-a-bike, this lot are bloody loud!
They certainly were loud! We had a really good day there, shame Coulthard had a shocker but he drove well, he seemed to be braking later than the others and getting on the power earlier at Druids.
Was good to see Damon Hills' son in the Formula fords, future star in the making?
I wish I'd seen the Scirocco race on the Saturday, loads of famous names racing in that!

The podium for this was great, Blundell, Brundle and Herbert on the podium - presentations by Damon Hill and Perry McCarthy. Damon and Perry nicked the champagne and doused the other three! Perry then got absolutely drenched by Blundell! Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
