Hi all,

I'm just ordering a new windscreen for my Tuscan from the people who did all of the original screens, from the original patterns. I've no idea if they'll do a group buy discount but I thought as I'm ordering one, it might be a good idea to see if anyone else wants one!

Price is £175 + vat for the screen in anti-scratch polycarbonate (virtually all of that is in material cost).

Incidentally, I've not put any order down yet so if anyone knows of a cheaper place to get anti-scratch polycarbonate, please speak now! I already have my screen off so can sent it anywhere as a template if need be..

I think its a good price if they are going to cut it also, as its quite hard to cut.

I had mine cut from a template by a small company in Reading - Elgee Plastics or something like that for about £80 + VAT. This was the proper scratch resistant coated stuff too (Lexan Marguard).

Hi guys,

Managed to get the orignal guys to beat Plastics 4 Performance's price...

He will do anti-scratch windscreens (coated inside AND out) for £145 + VAT

I'll ring the Andy's place later and check with them but W.E reckoned they couldn't do them much cheaper in poly with the proper anti-scratch coating. Any takers?

As an aside, if you have a bit of brake fluid blow onto your screen, which can easily happen on the Tuscans given the placement of the resevoirs, clean it off asap. Had this on mine and it has caused the polycarb to split and crack where it is curved, despite being wiped off after the race. The coating makes no difference to this

Nick,
Sorry to leave it so late, but I've only just stumbled across this thread. Have you placed the order yet, as I'd be interested in a rear screen for a Tuscan Racer (assuming it's to fit a John Reid hardtop???). Am I too late?

No problem, I'll get the order set up this week. Yes the rear screen is to fit a JR hardtop, and the uncut screens require measurements, but the guy said the cutting is only around £10-£15 and the stuff is a pain to cut, so he said it would be much easier if those with different shaped screens send him a paper/card template and he'll cut the shape out for you. If you would like to do this, pm me and I'll send you the address to send the templates to.

Regarding payment, they will invoice individually if you would like to put it through your business. Its probably best if we all call individually to place orders - I'll try and sort it tomorrow and then we can get the orders rolling this week.

Right then... Update on this. I've Just spoken to White Ellerton Products and they're all set up to take the orders.

To order your screen, please call 0208 236 0444 and mention TVR Tuscan windscreen and you will get the discounted price. Incidently it is £150 not £145 as I previously reported - my bad. If you could all get your orders in within the next week or so that would be great. Any problems please let me know.
