Hi all,

Racing in the Spa 6 hours race this weekend, and had booked in to the above hotel, as it's right on the circuit (at La Source), and looks pretty nicer on the photos.

However, can't find a single review on the web of it!!

Anyone stayed there, and got any comments?

Thanks,

James

Have you tried searching for 'Francorchamps' as the location rather than Spa?

Indeed - And Stavelot (which it's officially listed under). Can find the hotel details, no problem. just no reviews of it at all! After some first-hand review.

It's only been open for about a month.

Friends stayed in it at the weekend and apparently it's very pleasant.

Opened just before the GP. Some pretty flash cars outside during the Grand Prix weekend, don't know if their (& your) expectations will be met, but I believe the prices being charged over GP weekend suggest it should be OK.

Thanks - Just what I wanted to hear. Got a good deal on the room, a few weeks ago. Guess not many knew about it yet...!

Wasn't a ploy to gloat, honest.....biggrin

Of course, if I REALLY wanted to gloat, I could have mentioned that my weekend racing at Spa follows a weekend racing at Goodwood...cloud9

Sadly, won't be in the Giulietta SZ this weekend but driving an (open-topped!) Austin-Healey, for a two-hour stint, in the dark. Of course, weather forecast promises rain all weekend... frown

You git hehe I've been avoiding the weather forcast all week!!!

so now i have a circuit I've never been to, a car i've never driven, and rain to look forward too..

I can't wait...bounce

We're only in the British sports,GT and saloon 1 hour race as a taster for maybe the 6 hour next year if we can find something suitable... Currently we're in another Healey, a Healey Sprite.

Actually wet weather should suit us, with less power and weight than the big boys...although I would prefer a little more experience in the car first !!!!

Have fun
