What a timely confirmation that this is truly a british sports car worthy of the name. 1st in class at the brit car, less than a year from its launch the Ginetta G40 proves that real design skill, talent and a visionary team can put british sportscar manufacturing back at the front. Well done to all at Garforth!

Plus they had a really attractive young lady who was a team member / family member / hanger on / not sure which whistle

In all seriousness though, they did do a great job - well done to the entire team. Just a shame they couldn't hold on to their top ten place which they had for a lot of the race.

Couldn't agree more, it looked excellent on track, quite quick for it's diminutive size and engine. Admittedly it had some really good drivers behind the wheel. A great team effort, one which LNT cab be proud of and must have served up a load of data to move forward with. I think the car in question was only finished last week and driven to the circuit under it's own powee, even more testament to the success! smile

Personally I think this was the car of the race. Did it suffer any problems? It seemed just to keep going and going and at a fair old rate of knots too.

At my last count of the race at 23 hours the Ginetta G40 was indeed circling in 10th position. Fantastic that Tomlinson is keeping the tradition in this long-lived great British marque. Let's see one on the road please!

However, from a sadder perspective, how humiliating for their old rival Lotus. All the press content and even on here for the FIVE! new cars (well, concept cars). Yet where was the works Lotus Evora in the 24 hour race...?

At 23 hours it was 45th!!!

Ginetta... carry the British marque flag on!

Came in 12th at at the end. A shame it missed out on the top ten, as they'd been running comfortably in there for much of the race.

There are some on the road, even the one that raced! It was driven from the factory to the circuit at the begining of the weekend and then was driven back afterwards. smile

Ahh, when I said let's see one on the road... I mean 'on sale' for the road and affordable. (F400 is very nice, but too dear).

As for that last quip, I am, and I do, in my highly disguised Ginetta JCW Mini, and I'm very careful not to get accosted by people in green and yellow jackets hehe

Well all G40's sold are fully road legal and it's £24,950 so reasonably affordable.

No - there were 2 40's parked in the car park on Friday as well as the Ginetta 400 (Farboud) - I would like to think I can tell the 2 apart !

The 'F'400 it's Farbio (not Farboud) - ichanged a lot since it was first a Farboud (in 1998 if I recall)
