So with 2 races left whats your bet for the F1 drivers title? Ferrari certainly have the momentum but Alonso has used all his engines, one DNF and he would be out of it.

Im still going with Webber although I can see it going to the final race with Alonso still leading.

FYI everyone has used a new engine allocation. Webber had one new one for this weekend. but everyone is using 2 or even 3 raced engines

I'd say it's between Webber or Alonso. I don't think Lewis has the car underneath him to challenge the ferrari nor the RB

Jenson apparently doesn't have the car to challenge a Toro Rosso.

For Alonso it does all depend on the engine situation. Some of his power units are probably running near their max lifespan now he has used all of them.

If his engines hold up it will be Alonso - If not, then I think it is Vettel as he has the machinery beneath him. I can't see the Red Bull failing to finish the last two races.

Though I would pick those two last out of who I would want to win from the 5(ish) contenders.

I think Vettel & Webber will damage each other's attempts to win the championship and can even see them hitting each other again, well to be precise I mean Vettel hitting Webber because he seems able to hit anything. So I think it will be between Fernando "Filipe's quicker than yow" Alonso and Hamilton. Unfortunately I predict it will be Alonso that succeeds.

Alonso

He is the best out there.

People luaghed at him when he said he'd win the title.

Only because they didn't know what he did - Ferrari were going to cheat to get him some extra points! wink

You say cheat, I say acted with a bit of forward thinking and good sense. Massa has been slow and inconsistent all season. F1 is a team sport about the cars, always has been always will be.

I think Alonso will do it but I'd prefer it if Webber won.

Red Bull need to make a choice.

If next 2 races finish Vettel, Webber, Alonso, then Alonso beats both of them by 5 points. In fact, if Vettel wins both, Alonso only needs 2 third places, no matter who is second.

Webber has to win a race for Red Bull to be in control of own destiny, otherwise Alonso can win just by following them home.

It's in the Korea thread about an article on the BBC site - if the two races finish Webber, Vettel, Alonso then Webber is champion. If they finish Vettel, Webber, Alonso then Alonso is champion. Red Bull continue to support Vettel. Bunch of numpties!

Alonso. Just to see the uproar on here from some quarters, as he will have apparently "cheated" his way to the title hehe
