Note especially what happens at 1'10

Who do you think was in the right or wrong? No doubt the response was uncalled for.

The bloke in front should stick to banger racing. The other car was clearly quicker but it wasn't as if he was even closing the door, more like barging his opponent off the track.

That's very sad to see. Not only can the bloke in the white car not race but he's not a man either.

OP, do you know when this happened, and has it come before a tribunal yet? I presume the driver of the white car will take no further part in any UK motorsport for a good few months?

(I've just posted my first ever comment on Youtube too smile. It's sad to see that sort of stuff, imo. It's not what racing is about).

I don't think it was in the UK but in South Africa.

That guy need's to have a look at himself.

Wonder if he's one of those people when on the road who get angry when they are overtaken.

The series organiser's tagline is very apt:

Quite right. It's the South African Volkswagen GTI series. The driver being overtaken is a national driver who races production cars. I don't think the driver of the onboard shot races at the same level regularly but is clearly the better driver.

An incident report was lodged with MSA, a hearing followed shortly after. MSA deemed the bumping a 'race incident'. The window breaking resulted in him receiving a suspension, which is suspended for 6 months.

What a proper .

I know that you see the red mist (maybe guilty of that once or twice!!) but I know when I'm beat (obviously never!!) and I would never push someone off like that. Closethe door maybe so they have to back off...but not when they're alongside for fks sake.

A wise man once told me when I started racing to always keep your helmet on for a moment and have a look around you...just in case!! hehe

OP - are you either driver??

Cheers

On the Youtube page you can find the video of the whole race. The driver with the camera was much better in corners and on the brakes but was slower on the straights (gets outdragged a couple of times). The white car guy really didn't seem that good, his car was squirming all over the place in the corners, and looks like it's his fault rather than the setup of the car.

The camera car put himself in a position that would end up with him running out of track.
Camera car should of backed off - seldom does a pass around the outside of the corner work.
Camera guy keeps his foot in and pushes the guy in front. Not seen the whole race but the racing incident is the camera guys fault.

Or are you guys discussing the guy breaking the window ? What Nascar race was it when some diver throw is helmet at a passing car ?!

True - but there was enough room for both to negotiate the corner. The other car doesn't look like it needed to go out so wide to keep up speed, but he tried to close the door and the other driver wasn't letting up.

Breaking the window on the other hand... what a cock. Not only are they many many safety problems (and I would of thought it'd be laminated safety glass...), but had he of not been strapped into a metal cage what would he of done?!

I have to agree with woof, he did put himself in a position where he ran out of road - pretty poor driving from the both of them after that where they are trying to bang doors permanently without giving each other space... it would only end in both of them falling off the track if they are still trying to get to same bit of tarmac after they touch the first time.

ETA: No excuse for the anger afterwards, I would be livid if someone did that to me after a racing incident!
