For anyone considering a trip tomorrow, both stages in Langdale Forest are now non spectator due to the amount of snow over the last few days.

The organisers will try to run the stage but any further snow overnight may bugger that up too.

Think it's probably more a case of them not wanting spectator/officials cars stuck in the snow, blocking the access roads etc, rather than "Ooh, it's snowed and we can't risk anyone getting a cold"

Stage is completely cancelled, I was meant to be marshalling, got half way there and then got a text to say it was scrubbedfrown
Loads of snow on a64, blizzard conditions at one point really dodgy to drive in so was doubting my sanity continuing

A work colleague was navigating in the Dalby night stages last night. He texted me this morning to say the snow was too bad to consider a second run through, especially as they got stuck in their Volvo 240 between stages! He said that trying to push a near two ton Volvo whilst knee-deep in the white stuff kind of took the edge of their enjoyment somewhat! A shame as he was looking forward to it no end.

Big shame, they were entertaining on their first run through Dalby and gots of support in the crowd. Lots of people were getting stuck, a couple of cars really regretted pulling over to let fasrer cars through.

Kielder is cancelled, they're doing some runs at kershope tomorrow but non spectator, we went to dalby and to be honest its not a case of elf'n'safety bs, the weather really is bad and they've done a great job to run as much of the rally as they have

Yeah, that's the one! Thanks for posting the photo, Mark. I'll certainly pass your comment onto him too, he'll be chuffed to know that the old Swedish bus is cool! biggrin
