It's the way it should be. Now teams can play the game openly and without fear of being accused of fixing the result. Those betting on races can do so knowing that team orders are allowed. It's good news all round (unless you're a 2nd driver I guess).

Yes. It'll be shame if ferrari are strong and RB/mclaren and others feel the need to cover by prioritising a driver early in the season.

It's kinda like an arms race, once one does it others are potentially disadvantaged if they don't. fking ferrari

I think it's the right decision overall.

They reacted wrongly to the Ferrari/Austrian GP debacle by banning team orders - I think real fans know that there are some situations where it is the right thing for a team to do. The reason there was such outcry at the time was because the race was so early on in the season, and one would think that if this happened again in the future they might invoke the "bringing the sport into disrepute" rule.

For me, it would make more sense if team orders were allowed specifically when it was mathematically impossible for one of the two drivers to win the championship, and not otherwise.

Most sensible decision for a long time. Everone criticises Ferrari, but every team uses them, but disguises them.

also; it seemed to me that it was rather crass to tell Massa to move over when he was looking likely to win on the anniversary of his accident.

the 'bringing the sport into disrepute' rule will be interesting the next time something dodgy happens!
... especially if it involves a red car!
