Just thinking about Aston Martins new car for 2011, have they made a mistake losing the closed cockpit look? Audi moved towards it saying it was the most viable route with regards to the regs? Anyone in the know?

Seems strange to me as well to lose something of such beauty as the coupe. Maybe its because its their own design rather than one with lola?

I think Audi's change was due to the extra restrictions on Diesels this year.

Change of regs regarding number of crew allowed to change tyres, refuel means open tops no longer have an advantage over coupes at driver change time so I can't understand why AM have gone for an open top. That coupe was one of my favourite LM cars of all time but I guess we'll still have that noise.

Most likely a 2.0 V6 petrol engine is going in the back - brand new design with ran on the dyno very recently according to Autosport.
