I know it's not quite General Motorsport but it is motorsport related, and would benefit from support from F1 fans!

There's a bit of a campaign to get The Chain to no.1 for the first race of the year, and I thought I'd do my bit and advertise it on here.

If you're on facebook, have a look here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Get-The-Chain-to-num...

If not, just download The Chain after 28th Feb - simples!

Honestly, is there any need for that?

Is there any need for any of it? This wasn't started by a friend of Fleetwood Mac was it? Bloody Facebook, pah.

I usually hate these FB campaigns but this one I like. The song is pretty cool, the guitar solo is legendary for anyone into F1 and I also had this as one of my wedding songs (just under a year ago now) when we had tied the knot and walked back down the aisle, no one knew we were using it and caused several giggles.

I have signed up for it and will download it on said week. Sad - Yes, better than other FB campaigns - definately

We some some people over for a bit of a soiree the other evening and had the usual safe music playing in the background so I sneakily slipped on 'The Chain'. Most people, unless they're Mac fans, don't know the beginning of the song and it was quite funny to watch the blokes all suddenly realise what it was when the iconic bass line kicked in.

Wife was not amused that the rest of the evening was split into two groups - those that nattered on about F1 (the blokes) and those that didn't.

I walked down the aisle to it with my Dad when I got married in November. It was in a car museum so quite apt, and I've grown up watching F1 with my dad over the decades... (blimey, that makes me sound old!) We couldn't help but dance all the way down the aisle!! Great song, bit of fun. Why not!?

Did you have it as a suprise too? Ifso, did you get the same giggles/tutts and remarks as we did? Was good.

We played it during the signing of the register at our wedding. Most people don't recognise it until the riff so it was interesting to see who knew what it was.

We met at a race meeting and spend most weekends at circuits as do most of our friends who were there so it wasn't really a surprise to most people! Certainly no tutting!
